What began as an initiative to improve lubricant sales and oil change services at a single fuel station in Ujjain has evolved into a nationwide journey of engineering innovation, automation and connected automotive service solutions.
The founder
Built on 45+ years of industry experience
With over 45 years of experience in the petroleum industry, including his association with Denoil, founder Mr. Kishore Chhabra recognised an opportunity to transform conventional oil change practices.
Observing limited oil change activity and lubricant sales at fuel stations, he developed an innovative oil change machine and initiated the first pilot at his own retail outlet in Ujjain in 2006.

The first pilot in Ujjain
The journey began with an oil change machine developed and piloted by Mr. Kishore Chhabra at his own fuel retail outlet in Ujjain.

From pilot to wider adoption
After successful trials at three more locations, Indian Oil began adopting the technology across two states, later expanding to 15 states. BPCL and HPCL subsequently joined the journey.

First patent granted
Indian Patent No. 209933 granted to Mr. Kishore Chhabra for an oil chamber cleaning machine, filed in 2006.

Third-generation machines with integrated lever
Rock Engines introduced an integrated lever mechanism that brings several machine functions into a single control. Operators no longer switch between multiple valves and steps: one movement handles the change-over, making every oil change simpler, faster and more consistent.
